About this project

This October the new semester starts and again nearly 1000 students start their studies in Bernburg.
Since a few months almost 400 refugees have started a new life in the small town of Bernburg in the middle of Saxony-Anhalt.
The "Kulturmarkt" is organsied by the people of Bernburg as a welcome festival for the new inhabitants of Bernburg. Local Artists and also Slowfood present the cultural variety in the small town and invates to take part in one of the many initiatives.
The 19st of October 2018 the 5th Kulturmarkt takes place in Bernburg. Not only more than 250 refugees from the initiatives join, but also 15 bands, one orchestra and two choirs. Furthermore you may find your new favourite shirt at the clothes swap. Or try the drum workshop, cook with the refugees and join the wine and whiskey tasting and have a look at the exhibition of the fine arts of Bernburg artists. For young locals musicians there will also be a band contest.

To realise this festival, we need support for the technicals costs (stagehands and technical equipment), to reward the musicians and provide food for the refugrees as a gesture of welcome.

We are looking forward for this festival and hope you support our crowdfunding platform to make this a great weekend.
