In April 2016 the newest skate-aid Skatepark opened its doors in Kigali, Rwanda. It's a meeting place for children and young people has emerged, have fun together and learn from each other. Origin, religion or skin color do not matter - much more one's own motivation to grow beyond, the cohesion of the group and the enthusiasm for skateboarding. Thereby the kids develop self confidence, sense of community, responsibility and determination - all qualities that will make them look strong and independent in the future.
Thus our project can continue to move forward, we need your help!
We want to strengthen the community - across all borders. If possible, even in August the next skate-aid volunteer, Patience from Uganda, should support the project as a skateboard trainer and contact person for the children.
We also want to allow two children, who participate enthusiastically to our skateboard training, to attend school. Gracian (13) and Theoneste (14) are cousins. They didn't go to school since two years now because their mothers can't afford the fees. The two boys are motivated and want to learn! Help us to allow that!
