About this project

During the last 1,5 years we were able to build an international network that is now operating in 12 countries, which is an amazing achievement given the short time we have been online. We are truly greatful for all your genorosity! None of this would have been possible without your support!
This betterplace campaign collects money for the work of our international network, so your donations will be used by all the country groups in need to build professional structures and continue the work of matching people with each other.
“Refugees Welcome” is critical of prevalent centralized housing policies of placing refugees in camps which stigmatise and isolate people and hinder their social mobility. We are therefore invested in pushing for decentralised and socially-sound housing solutions for refugees. In the long run, we want to contribute to the creation of an open society which is based on the principles of solidarity and equality. We will continue to work hard on scaling up “Refugees Welcome” effectively and sustainably, with the goal to offer as many refugees as possible the opportunity to live in flatshares with locals rather than camps.
We thank you for your support, which rendered “Refugees Welcome” possible in the first place. In order to keep up the work we do, we need your continued financial support. We therefore ask you to place a donation and keep this organization and cause alive. Thank you.
