Due to the positive feedback from many people in Nepal, we are continuing our Schoolbag-Project! For our next project, we have planned something extraordinary. It will not only be very ambitious and a huge challenge, but also a great adventure!

Heading Far West
We are going to conduct our biggest Schoolbag-Project so far in coming September. We are going further than we have ever gone before. An exciting long journey on busses, tractors and mules lies ahead of us - carrying more than 2,000 school bags with us.

Together with our partner "Project Volunteer Nepal", we will travel to the far West of Nepal, distributing bags and stationeries in this remote region.
Our final destination will be the largest district of Nepal: Dolpa!
Travelling through the districts of Bardia, Surkhet and Jumla, we will presumably reach Dolpa after 7 days. You can find more information about our route in the sections below.

Our Goal
We are planning to distribute more than 2,000 school bags filled with stationeries during our long journey. Therefore, we need your kind support.

Donating only 5€ will already provide one school bag to a child!
Just 3€ more will finance a small set of stationeries that we distribute along with the bags.
All bags and stationeries are purchased in Nepal! Costs for transport are already included.

Please consider making a small donation to support needy children in the remote areas of Nepal.

Our Route To The Far West
The biggest challenge of our project will be the distance and the remoteness of our destination. We will be travelling for a couple of days until we will finally reach Dolpa.

Day 1:

The first stage of our travel will be from Kathmandu via Nepalganj to the district Bardia in the Southwest of Nepal. We are expecting a bus journey of more than 16 hours.

Day 2:
Arrival at VDC Thakurdwara (District Bardia) where we are staying the night.

Day 3:
We will start distributing school bags and stationeries in many different schools within VDC Thakurdwara (District Bardia). The exact amount of schools and students will be updated soon. Currently, we are establishing contacts in that region.
After finishing the distribution, we will directly continue our journey from Bardia via Nepalganj to the District Surkhet. The bus ride will take another 5 to 6 hours. We will stay the night at Surkhet.

Day 4:
We will travel from Surkhet to Jumla. Again, we will spend most of the time in the bus. A ride of around 9 to 10 hours is expected. We will spend the night in Jumla.

Day 5:
We will travel from Jumla to Dolpa. Our first destination in Dolpa will be Chaurikot. Since there are no big roads for transport from Jumla to Dolpa, we will continue our journey on tractors. Presumably, we will arrive Chaurikot after 8 hours. We will spend the night in Chaurikot.

Day 6:
We will hike from Chaurikot to the village Kaigoan. This will take us 3 to 4 hours. Mules will help us to carry the school bags and stationeries. On the way to Kaigaon, there is the possibility to ditribute some bags. We will spend the night in Kaigaon. The next day we will distribute school bags and stationeries in two schools of that village.

Day 7:
We will hike from Kaigoan to the neighouring village Hurikot, where we are also going to distribute bags and stationeries.
