My name is Stephan Schneider, born and raised in Cologne, the capital of Carnival in Germany. I am currently traveling around the world for 15 months. In my luggage, I have 11 red noses (a typical symbol for carnival) that I'm wearing with people all over the world to take photos on famous or crazy places. Thereby, I would like to raise funds for a charitable cause. My world trip will take place over 6 continents and ends in Africa, where I will participate in August 2016 in a project to help children in need and personally ensure that the donations are used wisely.
By the end of my world trip, I will support the project Sunshine Educare (http://sunshineschool.co.za) in South Africa. Sunshine Educare is a preschool for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The school is solely funded by donations, as parents cannot afford to pay for their children’s education and the school does not get any funding from the state.
The school is in need for basic infrastructure and daily necessities. We established several fundraising goals, which include furniture for the nursery, a playground, a new baby room, and a school bus.
