A book is a dream that you hold in your hand. –Neil Gaiman
In Nicaragua, books are a rarity. Reading is not a common habit, and a good education is a privilege for the rich. Many of the people will never have the chance to call a book their own. Even in public schools, there are no textbooks available. Books are an expensive luxury.
Our projects aim to improve educational opportunities in Nicaragua
. We consider education as a right that everyone is entitled to, and we see it as key for sustainable development. We aspire to provide joy through education, particularly to children and teenagers, and support and motivate them in their learning process.
Apart from supporting and running various library projects in and around Tipitapa, we provide scholarships to financially disadvantaged talented young Nicaraguans so that they can pursue a University degree.
With YOUR help, our project can continue to improve access to education and bring books and their stories into the hands of many children and adults, some of whom have never held a book before.
Thank you for taking the time to support us!
