Our volunteer agency connects Berliners and travellers, who want to help, with local projects and non-profit organizations, which need support – fast and uncomplicated.
Many non-profit organizations face difficulties to find volunteers that help to cope with day-to-day operations or to implement new ideas. With the help of our volunteer agency, Berliners and Berlin visitors can engage easily and effectively. Our professional work makes sure that help is applied well-aimed where it is needed. The involvement of travellers as “voluntourists” provides the institutions with additional support that has not been thought of yet.
Up to now, [v]ostel volunteers have been supporting our ActionDays in Berlins neighbourhoods and non-profit organisations like, for example, Stadtmission (e.g. help in the homeless shelter), the adventure playground Waslala (Developing the playground together with the kids), Berliner Tafel (Sorting of food donations and delivery), Berliner Tiertafel (Sorting of animal food and distribution) and House of Life (Exchange with the inhabitants).
Our service is and shall be free of charge. With your donation you make a direct contribution that we can connect more volunteers with NPOs and organise more ActionDays.
Besides your donation you can always take part on ActionDays or projects to see and experience what you are supporting with your money.

More specifically, we will use your donation to fulfil our maintasks:
a) Putting volunteers (Berliner and travellers) in contact with aid projects:
In only a few hours or with long-term engagement they help to push local projects. To deploy our volunteers where they are needed, we get in contact with them personally, get to know them and consult concerning suitable engagements. According to the competencies and preferences, we can offer a matching project. This and a close supervision during the volunteers’ occupation makes sure that they have an effective impact , identify with the project and feel like getting involved on a long-term, sustainable basis.
b) The organisation of own ActionDays:
Berliners and visitors can take part on Actiondays organised by us. Together with a diverse group of people they can contribute to a local project. The ActionDays are dedicated to
1. Public places in Berlin. Every person can – independently of age, origin or qualifications – take part spontaneously and beautify urban spaces.
2. Greater projects in our partner organisations. For example, we tackle renovation works.
