Conference preparing is underway!!

It is March, just 5 months before our first Women’s National Conference will be held in Juba, Sudan. Our director, Ms Lilian Riziq has recently returned from her second trip to Juba and Khartoum to make preparations including confirming a series of exciting women leaders as speakers, and looking at options for travel and accommodation for participants. Ms Riziq is working with committed Sudanese women based in Juba and Khartoum who are assisting in the grassroots preparation, including the invitation of participants from all over the country.

Those us back in the US, Canada and Europe are busy with our own preparations. I am one of the members grant writing for the organization, whilst others are coordinating with the South Sudanese government to assure their support of our work, or making connections with other people in the US interested in attending (including a film maker).
