Education is very crucial in releasing children from poverty.
Children, especially girls from deprived rural communities of Ghana face a lot of challenges as a result of poverty. The disadvantaged and poor condition of the parent make them unable to afford their children's education.These children suffers from Illiteracy, school drop out , abuse, neglect and exploitation and trafficking. A number of children are always found in the streets not attending school . Some of them have to be engaged in labor to be able to fine some favor and possible source of their daily bread.The girls with no hope of education end up with teenage pregnancy. The problem is more and more worsening and live is continuously growing unhealthy for children leaving them helpless and hopeless. This is really making it difficult for them to escape the vicious cycle of poverty.
Three young girls told their story how they stopped school for a year just because of not having books. To get money for the books their parents made them sell for a neighbor in the street without attending school. They finally end up always selling in the street as it became a source of livelihood for the family. Several children in many places across the globe are suffering form similar experience; having no right to education.
There are thousands of children living in poverty across Africa who do not attend school because their families cannot afford school supplies, books or uniforms
To help address this problem and save the children ,WORLD WOMEN AND CHILDREN MISSION is having a project of " saving the future of children through education" to provide educational opportunity for these children to build for themselves brighter and responsible future.
We are caring, supporting and sponsoring these children from the primary level to the high school level by paying for their fees caring for the health, transportation and school provisions.
We are therefore appealing earnestly to individuals, organizations, institutions and governments to help us provide care , assistance and support to these children as we send them to school.
We are working to provide the opportunities for them to develop their potential, build for themselves brighter future and help build ,together responsible and healthy society and peaceful world. we are giving them voices and empowering them tenable to break the vicious cycle of poverty
