With this project, we want to support Barış who works un der the name Sun Animal Rescue as one of our cat rescuers in Turkey. She has been rescuing cats since 2014, first with just her own financial means, then, when she couldn't work anymore, with donations.
She feeds the stray cats in Bursa, Turkey, sterilizes them and looks for warm homes for them. When one of the strays gets sick, she bringt it to the vet, so that it can recieve treatment. even when she herself was struggling with cancer, she still continued to save stray cats.
Some of the strays that have recovered live in her garden where they can run and play surrounded by beautiful fruit trees. She also has chronically ill, diabled and elderly cats at home, who cannot live outside anymore. She provides everything they need for the stray cats that she cares for. From 2014 to 2023, she has treated around 900 cats, averaging around 100 cats per year, except the year of her own treatment.
