About this project
In order not to forget the past, our goal is to hold it around June 28 - the Stonewall Day.
At the same time, we continue to demonstrate for acceptance, for rights and equality and celebrate the progress achieved so far in society and politics. Together with advocates from the queer community as well as relatives of queer people, a sense of togetherness is created, which helps many queer people to come out and feel accepted.
This year the CSD takes place on June 29 2024. Under the motto “Together – Hand in Hand”, we would like to take you on the road together. Because in addition to demonstrating for the rights of the queer community, we also want to celebrate the first queer club in the Hanseatic city of Stade, in the district of Stade and in the Elbe-Weser triangle, which has existed since March/April 2024: "QUEST – Queeres Stade e. V." , an association that should serve as a safe haven for queer people, for advocates of the queer community and for relatives of queer people.
This year we have succeeded and can welcome the district councillor Kai Seefried as our patron. In addition to the colourful programme of speeches, a live performance by Toni Mogens and the aftershow with Unterelbe Radio, there will also be a demonstration across our beautiful city Stade. Physical well-being is also taken care of.
The evening before, a new public queer cultural program will even take place in Stade for the first time. On June 28 2024 a bingo evening will take place in the Stadtschänke Stade at 08.00 p.m., which will be moderated by a drag queen and a drag king.
Such an event, which has historical roots and is important for a diverse society, is only possible with your donations, precisely because we are a newly founded association.
We would very much appreciate any donation, which also shows that you are with us and that we are part of society.
Thank you very much.
