    About this project

David Weyl from Polis180 e.V. is responsible for this project
17 languages, one voting information tool - help us make EUROMAT even more European!

Too often, the European election, which takes place 6-9 June this year, is treated as the combination of 27 national elections in the member states. With the voting information tool EUROMAT, we want to change this: By answering 20 questions on key topics in the current campaign, including economic policy, foreign policy and climate policy, voters can compare their positions with those of the European parties. EUROMAT is a voting information tool which can be used in Germany just as well as in Italy, Sweden or Romania - our contribution to a truly European political discourse.

EUROMAT has been launched in German, English, French and Finnish. But there's room for more! The translation team at Treffpunkt Europa has translated EUROMAT into 17 European languages, including Romanian, Polish, and Portuguese. However, to be able to present EUROMAT in these additional languages at euromat.info, we need further financial support. For each language, web development costs are around 150€ - a contribution to enabling more Europeans to make an informed decision, especially in member states where there are fewer independent offers for political education.

EUROMAT 2024 is a joint initiative by the civil society organisations Pulse of Europe and Polis180 as well as the blog Der (europäische) Föderalist. All partners are nonpartisan and politically independent; they have cooperated on former EUROMAT editions for the German federal elections 2017 and 2021.

With your donations, we want to create EUROMAT versions in Bulgarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Polish, Hungarian, Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Estonian, Swedish, Spanish, Dutch, Ukrainian and Russian.
