At our social sewing workshop, dress2bless, we aim to support women from difficult life circumstances struggling to reintegrate into the workforce, helping them find their way back to an independent and self-determined life. All proceeds will go towards our counseling and qualification program and directly benefit the women we serve.
Our program is designed for women with refugee and trauma experiences:
These women often face isolation and psychological challenges, requiring special support, a safe space, and therapeutic guidance to process their traumatic experiences and improve their life circumstances. Through the qualification and training opportunities offered by our social business dress2bless, we aim to give them a new perspective and help them regain confidence in their skills and strengths.
The women we support are often overwhelmed by the complex German bureaucracy and the many institutions and application processes they need to navigate. The lack of language skills further complicates their job search, increasing the risk of long-term unemployment and poverty.
This is where we come in, offering targeted qualification and training opportunities to help them ease their way into the job market. We aim to provide them with a sustainable professional perspective, strengthen their self-confidence, and restore their independence. If needed, we plan to offer therapeutic support through external psychologists.
How we work
Our participants learn to create sustainable and high-quality textile products independently. Not only do we teach practical skills, but we also help to strengthen their confidence and sense of self-efficacy. By discovering their potential, they learn to dream again and believe in a positive, purposeful future.
In addition to practical training, we offer German and computer courses to improve our clients’ language and IT skills. These abilities are crucial for their integration into the job market and society.
To make our vision a reality, we need initial funding to equip our space with the necessary tools, machines, and materials for the workshops. Additionally, we need regular donations to cover our personnel and space costs. For this, we aim to hire two skilled professionals.
