Dear donors,
We are delighted to share with you the success of the first Bamboo Association Friends Workshop, held in Maputo and Ponta do Ouro, Mozambique, from 16 to 26 October.
This workshop brought together 11 nations to discuss the environmental, socio-economic and cultural benefits of bamboo. The seminar started in Maputo with various sessions, in particular on sustainable construction, bamboo as a food source and bamboo for land reclamation and environmental protection. The seminar was attended by around 100 people from various institutions, local communities and civil society.
The seed has been planted,now we need your support to turn it into a strong plant!
