We want the Allgäu to become even more colorful and even more livable for all people!
Because we are convinced: The Allgäu can do more!
We love the Allgäu and we love the people there. However, we also believe that it is time to deal more consciously with LGBTQI+ topics, not only in the big city.
That's why we - a group of queer people and straight allies with a connection to the Allgäu - founded the non-profit association Allgäu Pride e.V.. With this, we advocate for LGBTQI+ visibility in the Allgäu region and create a platform for queer people. Our goal is to give queer topics the space they need, to establish dialogue, to break down prejudices and to promote acceptance.
Therefore, we organize the third event week in the Allgäu, where really everybody has to chance to get familiar with LGBTQI+ topics. This week is taking place between 26 August - 02 September 2023.
In addition to a classic Pride Parade, we have planned a wide variety of cultural event highlights for you, in which queer topics will be addressed and the queer community will be represented in different ways e.g. in the cinema, information booths or on stage.
We create not only a colorful entertainment program in the sign of diversity and tolarance, but also a platform to enter into dialogue with you and the many others in the Allgäu.
It doesn't matter if you belong to the LGBTQIA* community, if you are a Straight Ally or if you haven't had any contact with queer people or topics yet: We look forward to meeting you at Pride Week at the latest.
