    About this project

Dani von Daisy Family Rescue e.V. from Daisy Family Rescue e.V. is responsible for this project
Help Orange finally get on its feet.

In 2021 we took Orange, as the last member of the former station gang, off the street. He, too, was soon to have a dream life in D., after his two friends, Bigi and Seedo, had already found great happiness here.

Although at that time it was already known that this group of dogs would bring their problems with them, it was out of the question for us to leave them to themselves and thus to death. Residents reported them to the city, the killing station was lurking, the cars and trains around Skopje's main station endangered their lives every day. We received this photo of Orange one day:

We treated him and started to prepare him medically for his departure, so he could leave soon. We got to know him better, he thawed towards us and became our shadow.

A 3/4 year passed, Orange counted 0 requests and had already reached the developmental level at the shelter. That's all he would thaw out there. We decided to take him to a patient foster home in D., where he would get to know life alongside people.

After his first walks in D. it turned out that he had difficulties with his hind legs. It was very clear to see that he always dislocated something, it made a painful impression on us.

Orange was very lucky with his foster home, who soon called on a trusted veterinarian who was able to quickly diagnose:
Severe patellar luxation on the right knee.

The doctor put the kneecap back in place, although this condition would not last long. At the same time, he referred us to a renowned veterinary clinic that performs such operations almost daily.
So Orange presented himself at this veterinary clinic soon after. There he was extensively examined and also X-ray pictures gave information about his condition: Orange has to be operated.

Temporarily he was given painkillers so that he would experience pain-free days at least until the operation. Soon there was a clear change in his movements and his state of mind.

In the meantime, the date of the operation has been set: 8.9.2022.

While we are happy that Orange will soon strut through life pain-free and agile, we are already dreading the costs: 1111,01 €, for the surgery alone. Costs that we cannot cover.

Not included are the follow-up examinations, which are estimated at about four, á 75€, so a total of 300€.
Also unavoidable are one to two sessions of physiotherapy á 45€ weekly for four weeks after the procedure; another 360€.

Orange is in urgent need of your help to finally be able to live a happy, pain-free life.
Please help us to cover the 17771,01€ for this surgery and see Orange happy. Every little contribution helps!
