Zukunftstag - Your Crash Course for Life

This is a common feeling among many young people as they leave school. And yet, sooner rather than later, we all find ourselves facing these very topics. The Zukunftstag team aims to break down these barriers and show students that everyone is capable of managing their own finances.

To achieve this goal, we organize project days in schools, where we—supported by volunteer speakers with real-world experience—provide foundational knowledge in areas such as taxes, renting a first apartment, health insurance, and personal finance. This year alone, our initiative will reach more than 70,000 students across 600 schools in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

We began as a student initiative in Kassel and have since grown into a dedicated team of 20 young professionals under the nonprofit Initiative for Economic Youth Education (IWJB gGmbH). Organizing a "Zukunftstag" takes significant planning, with each project day costing nearly 2,500 euros. To make these project days possible, we rely on financial support from foundations, companies, and individual donors. Our goal is to raise 100,000 euros through crowdfunding, which would enable an additional 40 Future Day events in 2025.
