This is our superhero Leandros. 😊
This little man takes every heart by storm with his radiance - he is so full of life and cheerful, he thinks it's great to go for a walk and he loves touching. When mom and dad stroke his cheek, hold his hands and cuddle him, Leandros is in seventh heaven.
Unfortunately, the fact that Leandros is such a wonderful boy is anything but a given. He was born in October 2015. Right at the beginning of his life could be seen: His musculature is extremely weak. However, Leandros' family did not get clarity until 2018. Leandros has a very rare, life-shortening genetic defect (PCH Type 3 - Pontocerebellar Hypoplasia Type 3).
A genetic defect in which 50 percent of children with the disease do not even reach adolescence.
They die before their life has really begun. Before they can really start to enjoy their lives.
Leandro's loving family does everything to ensure that their superhero is one of the other 50 percent. So that he can cuddle up with his loved ones for a long time to come. That he can listen to music and stories for a long time to come - because Leandros loves the hustle and bustle around him. The little man no longer sees well, so silence is not his world. He likes to listen to other children and loves it when his siblings play loudly around him. And he has a mischievous streak: When his siblings have done something wrong and get into trouble, he usually laughs or grins widely. With a lot of curiosity, the little fighter heart discovers the world - and wants to see so much more!
Leandros and his wheelchair should go everywhere!
We would like to give Leandros a chance to live a fuller life, to give his loved ones a chance to have this so precious time with the whole family!
