About us

The EmeraldPlanet is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. USA. Created in 1973 our leadership and experts work with research institutions, businesses, governments, universities, health care providers, clean water advocates, funders, non-government and community based organizations. These efforts are identifying 1,000 "best practices" to arrest, and reverse, the ravages of climate change while promoting the development of alternative energy sources. The EmeraldPlanet television programs are simulcast weekly to 532 stations around the United States and globally by the Internet and C-SPAN television.

The Emerald Trek will visit 143 nations, 750 major cities, and over 50,000 communities covering the 1,000 sustainable environmental and economic development "best practices" by Internet streaming video, television and radio broadcasts, publishing, education, research, training, idea exchanges, seminars, and advocacy. The EmeraldPlanet works in collaboration with the Panamerican-Panafrican Association as a Permanent Program Unit of the Pa/Pa which is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
