About us

Hearts of Sunshine e.V. is a non-profit organization from Germany that is currently working with a women's rights project in Tanzania.
We, that's Franziska, Laura and Claudia, met in Tanzania in 2019 and have become good friends since then. Together we want to stand up for the rights of women in Tanzania and empower them. We are all the more grateful to be able to support the valuable work of our partner project HIMD with our association Hearts of Sunshine e.V..

Our partner project called HIMD is divided into different areas of work. We mainly support the women's shelter founded by them, where victims of sexualized violence (especially forced marriage and female genital mutilation) find refuge and are accompanied and supported on their way to a self-determined life. As an organization, we arrange sponsorships for all residents of the women's shelter and collect donations that benefit the shelter.
