About us
Caretakers orphans education centre is situated in the sprawling slums of korogocho. It began its operation in 2001 by providing feeding program to orphans and other vulnerable children in korogocho. It currently takes care of over 200 orphans.
It is an initiative that has been received very well by the korogocho community as it has worked with them around several issues that affect their children .
Through this, it has been able to form strategic alliances with several community based groups within the slums, key among them being the coalition of urban poor in kenya trust (Cup Kenya Trust) of which the director of the caretakers orphans education centre is a member of the board of trustees.
