About us
Since June 2021, a formerly private fundraising initiative for the construction of a secondary school in Tanzania has become the registered non-profit association "TWENDE SHULENI e.V.", based in Taunusstein/ Germany.
Our mission is to promote educational and social projects, especially in rural areas in East Africa. Personal contacts and innovative and sustainable solutions are important for us. We want to raise awareness for the situation of the local population and aim to support selected projects transparently. We keep administration costs as low as possible, your donations will be used directly on site.
Currently our focus stays on projects in the village of Kihesa Mgagao in southern Tanzania. Our primary goal, together with a local NGO, is to reach the final approval to open the local secondary school. Several buildings are already completed, but some construction parts still need to be added. We also plan projects for further education and development for the local population.

Wir haben 609,37 € Spendengelder erhalten
Mit allen verfügbar gemachten Spenden können die Auslagen für den ersten Erwachsenenkurs in Kihesa Mgagao beglichen werden. Dieser fand in den letzten vier Wochen statt. 19 Männer und 11 Frauen nahmen am Kurs teil, der täglich für 7 Stunden stattfand. Die Spendengelder wurden dem Bedarf entsprechend für die Bezahlung der Lehrkräfte, des Lehrmaterials und für die Verpflegung während des Unterrichts eingesetzt. Wenn sich das Pilotprojekt als erfolgreich herausstellt, soll es in Zukunft weiter geführt werden, sodass die Schule bis zur offiziellen Eröffnung auch weiterhin schon von Nutzen sein kann.
