About us

Orphan Aid Uganda (O.A.U) is a Civil Society Organization registered under the Kole District local government with registration number KDLG/009. It was established in 2016 as one of the Community Base Organizations in Alemi Trading center, Ayer Sub-county, Kole District.

With over four years of community service, the organization has grown from a community-based organization and is now en-route to register as a non-profit NGO, operating in the thematic areas of education, human rights, and environment. It seeks to a create future of hope for under-served children, women, and their communities by helping them to build their skills and resources to reduce their vulnerability in a sustainable way.

Kole district is one of the districts which has been faced wi many problems, it is found in northern Uganda. It is unfortunate that the humanitarian condition in Northern Uganda, mostly in Kole District is not good due to poverty, illiteracy, and lack of knowledge among people.
