About us
We are working for a comprehensive sex education - including sexual and reproductive rights - in one of Colombia's most historically affected regions by civil war, forgotten by the government and marked by endemic violence. Our aim is to empower young girls (age 14 to 20 years old) with knowledge about their rights, their body and their stand in this world.
Poderosas Urabá is installing capacity by 1) educating teachers and young social leaders in the program for them to become multipliers and reach more young women in this territory; and 2) generating dialogues with local governmental organizations, searching for long- term methods to guarantee these girls’ rights.
