About us

Teenmom's Voice is the organization in Uganda benefiting Teenage expectant mothers, teenage mothers and their children in Uganda. Teenmom’s Voice was birthed after seeing the suffering teenage mothers have to endure while in the pregnancy stage and how their lives and those of their children are affected after delivery. Teenage pregnancies are on the rise consequently leading to increase of school dropouts, leaving them in a vicious cycle of poverty, HIV/ AIDS transmission as well as domestic violence for those who are forced into early marriages. Many teenage expectant mothers usually come from impoverished households leading them to trade sex in exchange for food, money, sanitary towels among other items. Younger teens' pregnancies, in particular, are considered high risk because their bodies haven't finished growing and are not yet fully mature. Teenmom's Voice exists to instill hope to these girls and ensure a better future for them and their children.
