About us

The aCappella Netzwerk e.V. is the sponsor of the "Jazzchor Dresden". He is committed to the dissemination of modern a cappella music and the networking of such ensembles in the region of Dresden in Saxony, Germany.

The "Jazzchor Dresden" was founded in 2012 as a project of the aCappella Netzwerk e.V. In this choir, there are currently 45 singers active, who all share a common passion for modern a-cappella music.

Sensitive soul ballads and groovy pop songs are just as much a part of the broad repertoire as well-known jazz standards. In addition to numerous appearances, the society owns the aCappella festival "SING: X" and has been playing concerts i.a. at the "Jazztage Dresden", the "Palais Sommer Dresden" and "TOTAL CHORAL" in Berlin. One of the recent highlights was a performance with entertainer Jan Böhmermann, known for his late-night show "Neo Magazin Royale".

The first CD “Debut!” appeared in 2018.

In 2022, the choir will celebrate its 10th anniversary. For this occasion, a new CD with brand new (self-designed) arrangements and a tour through Germany are being scheduled.
