About us

“Back on Track e.V” is a registered association that aims to help children who have been displaced from Syria and other middle eastern countries affected by conflict to get back to school. Many of these children have missed out on several years of school and therefore have big gaps in education, which our mentors help to bridge.

“Back on Track e.V.'' was founded by refugees from Syria and cooperates with displaced teachers and parents to support the children on their way back to the education system. The core concepts of our work is providing learning materials in german as well as the children’s native-languages and we attach great importance to the children’s input in shaping their own learning process. We understand appropriate education as a human right and a condition for social participation, which should not be compromised by war and displacement.
