About us
WeConnect is a social initiative that aims to connect newcomers and locals through shared interests and activities. Settling into a new country is not easy, especially if the circumstances of your arrival are beyond your control. Making friends and doing things you enjoy can transform a city from an unknown place into home. Therefore, we are opening existing social structures to newcomers and creating a community of people who want to join and organise events, teach or learn new skills, and simply share the things they love with new people! By connecting locals and newcomers through their interests in art, music, food, sport and education, we can overcome language barriers and increase social inclusion.
