PROJECT DISCRIPTION
This programme is already running in Lira District. The focus of MORAID is to provide the basic education facilities and health services to the orphans and vulnerable children.
The reason as to why we are centered on education and health of the orphans and vulnerable children is because they are primary pre-conditions for promoting child growth and development.
PROJECT PURPOSE
The purpose of this programme is to address the challenges faced by orphans and vulnerable children as a result of no access to education and health services through the establishment of education and health facilities in their communities as the means of tapping equality.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
To initiate and promote income generating activities to cater for socio-economic wellbeing of Orphans, Vulnerable Children and Youths;
To improve and promote literacy among Orphans, Vulnerable Children and Youths as a tool for addressing socio-economic future challenges;
To provide a voice pipe for the disadvantages Orphans, Vulnerable Children and Youths in the community in an effort to lobby support for alleviating the challenges or improving their living standard;
To monitor parents, guardians and the general community on practices for or against the wellbeing of Orphans, Vulnerable Children
NUMBER OF INTENDED PROJECT BENEFICIARIES
The project will benefit all the orphans and HIV/AIDS victimized children in Lira District and Uganda at large.
