Our mission as a non profit organization is to help mothers and children in Kenya by supporting HIV-infected pregnant women. For these women the prevention of mother to child transmission (PMCT) therapy is provided. We also help infected children in the children's village of Nchiru.

Die Beratung in den Zeiten von Corona hat sich in Kenia geändert. Benjamin Welu, medizinischer Leiter, schreibt uns:
" We have realised when men participate in the care of their spouses and children, the outcome is even better. For this reason, Chaaria clinic encourages the couple to come to clinic together. In the clinic they attend all the sessions together and are able to ask questions and seek clarifications as a family. We have witnessed that a lot of improvement in family interaction, adherence to treatment and good treatment outcomes for families which come to clinics frequently as a couple or family compared to where each member of family comes to clinic alone on a different day. Below is a photo of couple collecting drugs together. The health care worker is demonstrating how to administer the drugs as they follow the instructions together."
