About us

Tulongeni Youth Organization-TYO is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Namibia with an aim to mobile young people, assist them identify their potential, partner with them to advance these potentials into skills, skills that can earn them a descent livelihood at the same time empower them to become active participants in their communities social, cultural, economic and political developments.
Founded in 2012 Tulongeni Youth Organization-TYO focuses on developing innovative strategies for youth involvement and participation, lobbying and advocating for increased youth involvement at grassroots and national developmental agenda, capacity building of young people in Namibia to develop gainful skills that can enable them earn a descent income and mobilizing communities through the youth to take an active role in seeking sustainable solutions to developmental challenges affecting them and ultimately reducing poverty and working towards attainment of the Millennium Development Goals.
Tulongeni Youth Organization-TYO has an expansive network. It has realized various formal and informal trainings and workshops besides establishing an alliance of stakeholders who work with and for the youth they include MYNSSC among others. The Organization has well developed youth and community engagement concepts, financial systems which are well capacitated besides having a youthful and qualified volunteering
