Registered by past students as a non profit society in Kenya whose vision is to a leading alumni society in Kenya comprising a community of passionate members connected to each other and dedicated to support the continued development and support of our Alma mater. The mission of the society is to engage and connect alumni locally, regionally and globally in support of St Georges Primary school mission while maintaining life long connections to the school and to each other and creating a sense of pride and loyalty to our Alma Mater.
The immediate project #Shule Yetu is intended to raise funds for classroom refurbishment, facilities upgrade and revamping of extracurricular activities including mentorship programs for current students and alumni.
The project is intended to create an optimal learning environment where holistic education takes place. The project also seeks to develop models to ensure sustainability through resource optimization and provide a community resource for enhanced community engagement.
The Association is putting together a master plan in five phases to restore the schools glory and has already commenced on the first three classrooms through funds generated to the tune of Kshs3 million.(Euro 26,000).
The entire project costs is estimated by the Nairobi County at Kshs 200 million (Euro 1.73M) and the first phase is estimated at Kshs19million though these estimates are continually being revised as the state of the disrepair becomes more apparent.
