About us

Dolly Foundation is a local non governmental organization in Assin Fosu
The organization was formed in January 2009, It got registered in June 2010 with Registrar General Department and social welfare department.

The aims and objectives of Dolly Foundation include the following;
1.To give appropriate health care, counseling and health education
2. To investigate, unearth and spell out the basic needs of women
3. To use right and evidence – based approach for improved lives of the poor, vulnerable, voiceless and marginalized in society.
4. To mobilize and build capacity of the youth to earn a living and support local level development activities
Vision: To contribute to Ghana’s effort towards the well-being of women and children
Mission Statement:
1. To help eradicate poverty among women by providing employable skills through in house training and workshops
2. To strongly advocate and pursue equal rights of Women and children for available opportunities and responsibilities without any form of discrimination

Experience: Health outreach in the area of reproductive rights, Malaria, HIV/AIDS, Beast feeding and Breast cancer awareness and screening programs. Registration of babies into the National health Insurance
Education- Girl mentoring clubs, support of basic needs for children
Advocacy – Human Rights , accountability, gender equality and gender based violence

programs carried out:

2. Mothers Day celebration aiming at the African women decade (2010-2020 themes). 2011 theme improves women health and reduces Maternal Mortality. Reference source. Ghanaians times June 3 2011
3. World women Day. Radio discussion and interview by NKWA FM 88.1 8th March 2011
4. AU DAY toward the youth. Radio discussion and interview date 25th May 2011
5. International day of the African child. Dolly foundation took 50 street children back to school under the year long program BACKTO SCHOOL PROJECT where we are hoping to take about 500 street and needy children to school. Reference source: Daily Guide 21st June 2011
6. Registration of new babies into the health insurance- aiming at reducing neonatal child birth in our community. Child capture under the insurance will receive a free health care for a year. (800babies registered)
7. 16th days of gender based violence campaign. Topic peace in our home, our responsibility
8. World human right day celebrated
9. 2012 – 2014 international women day- awareness creation/ mentoring walk
10. Poverty reduction program supported by IFAD to provide machinery and shed for women in AKROPONG ODUMASI to process cassava into gari.

Dear donors,
when managers of a project haven't requested a payout over the course of a longer period, the German law and our terms of use provide that we (gut.org gemeinnützige AG, operator of betterplace.org) use the money for our tax-deductible purposes. The same applies to the cancellation of a project, where the manager of the project is unable to realize it.

Therefore we will use these donations for the following purposes
