About us

Beyond Violence (BV) is a social movement created to encourage peace and global citizenship. We are a UK-based NGO which was founded in 2012 and we are currently seeking to obtain a status of a charity.

Beyond Violence seeks to promote non-violent conflict transformation through support of peaceful, non-violent interactions between opposing voices. Violence exacerbates conflict situations, making solutions harder to reach. Through engagement in non-violent interaction, Beyond Violence will set the foundations of long-term sustainable peace in project areas. Projects target the root causes of conflict and engage the motivations, grievances, and aspirations of those involved in conflict. We believe that in the 21st century the key to this endeavor lies in the effective and innovative use of communications technology.
