Hi all. I have been selected to attend a two-week leadership course along with 50 young participants from around the world in December 2011 in Swaziland, Southern Africa. I am excited for the opportunity to meet young people form around the world, visit Swaziland and learn about development through active community engagement. Most importantly, the course will teach me how to plan a development project that I can implement in my community once I return. This course is organized entirely by volunteers and financed through fundraising. As such each participant is actively involved in raising enough money to cover their costs. As you can imagine, airfareto Swaziland is quite costly and beyond the means of my family.
