What’s it about
Thank you for visiting my page at betterplace.org! You can even track the use of funds. Not only is
betterplace.org a great way to raise support, but it provides transparency as well, showing
how your donation directly affects the project outcome.
The reason why I chose this project is because when I contacted HIJRA, this is how they described their program "funds collected would then be distributed in bundles of 50 dollars per month to the most vulnerable Female Headed Households for the provision of essentials food staples oil, maze, sugar, rice and soap. This is a method of intervention with which we have seen great success as it guarantees families access to essential food staples and allows them to maintain a sense of dignity in spite of their situation." I think it's important to move away from the cliche aid giving to empowering households in such situations to start their life once again. Thank You guys for those who have donated, and even for those who just visited the page. I am going to wait one more week and then I wil transfer the funds and photos and updates about the funds will be posted then.
Whoever ends up reading this.... please take the oppurtunity while you're on this page to reflect on our lives and how lucky we are for the basics we have everyday, things we don't even think about as makeing us lucky.
