In Uganda, statistics indicate that 65% of her population of about 31 million are young people, and a greater percentage of the children are out of school due to poverty, lack of formal school facilities, inadequate financial resources for school materials, academic failure, physical and psychological disability among many others. There are 12,000 primary schools and about 1460 secondary schools in Uganda. Formal institutions represent above 10 million children many of whom do not have enough education background and experiences, sustained and correct information about their socio-economic challenges which has greatly contributed to the current high prevalence rates children drop-out which has contributed to increased street kids, child labor, HIV/AIDS and sexual/domestic violation, among young people especially in marginalized communities like Kisoro. A big number of young people in both rural and urban communities fail to find formal education due to lack of scholaristic resources.
It was realized that many organizations in kisoro didn’t meet all the requirements of needy people especially children. That is the reason why we came to establish this program to provide education for orphans and vulnerable children.
we are looking for money to help our two thousand children we are hlping in diffrent schools here in Kisoro,Uganda.
