What’s it about

Ziele:
- Aufmerksamkeit schaffen für ME/CFS, Long COVID und andere postakute Infektionssyndrome.

Internationaler ME/CFS-Tag

My song “My Bed” is an emotional plea for urgent action—on behalf of millions of people worldwide living with the severe neuroimmunological condition ME/CFS. Those affected often remain invisible and underserved. It is my personal mission—partly because I myself have ME/CFS—to use this song for an international campaign to give these people a voice through my music.
With “My Bed" I’ve written an emotional pop song with soul influences that centers on my personal story and my own experience with the illness. I want to use it to mobilize the public, the media, and supporters. It’s the follow-up to “Kisses in SoCo” (2007).
Goals:
Raise awareness for ME/CFS, Long COVID, and other post-acute infection syndromes.
Generate donations for biomedical research and improved care.
Amplify patients’ voices through music, interviews, and accompanying formats.
My Biography and Song Story
Born in 1963 in Sacramento, USA, and raised in Frankfurt am Main from the age of 11, I was already rocking out as a drummer in school bands at age 11, wrote my first song at 14, and performed for the first time in front of thousands of people, including at a youth music festival in Frankfurt. This was followed by co-headlining Rock am Ring in 1988 and international collaborations with musicians who have worked with Prince, Holly Johnson, Phil Collins, Annie Lennox, and Herbert Grönemeyer, among others.

International ME/CFS Day
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) is one of the most neglected diseases of our time. Millions of people worldwide suffer from this severe neuroimmunological multisystem disease—and yet they often remain invisible to policymakers and society.
May 12 is the international day dedicated to raising awareness of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). On this day and throughout the month of May each year, patients, their families, and organizations around the world work to raise awareness and foster compassion for those living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS).
The goal is to work together to advocate for improved care and support.
We estimate that there are over 650,000 people affected in Germany alone—including 49,000 children.

How about supporting the Lost Voices Foundation, the ME/CFS Research Foundation, the Bundesverband Fatigatio e.V., and the German Society for ME/CFS through this “My Bed” ME/CFS Awareness Campaign"? I chose these organizations because their work is very close to my heart. We appreciate your support, because every contribution really does help!
