No child should ever feel left out. Yet in Germany today, far too many do.

More than 1 in 5 children in Germany grows up in poverty. For these children, access to sports is often out of reach — not because they lack talent or desire, but because their families can’t afford club fees, equipment, or transportation.

The result? Exclusion and detachment. Children on the sidelines while their peers play. Lost confidence. Fewer opportunities to discover their strengths. Research shows that children who lack access to extracurricular activities are more likely to struggle with self-esteem, social belonging, and long-term health outcomes.

We believe in changing that — and that’s why we launched the Game of Belonging campaign.

Through Laureus, our global partner, we work with coaches and local organizations to reach disadvantaged children where they are.

Together, we focus on four pillars that guide everything we do:
