“A great way to do a good thing”
What’s it about
Most people associate the run-up to Christmas with cosy get-togethers, delicious food and anticipation. But for many people in Frankfurt and Offenbach, it's a different story. Those who feel lonely or are going through a crisis, who have little or no money, or who even live on the streets with no refuge, can lose hope.
For those seeking help, these encounters are a ‘Heartbeat of Hope’ (Herzschlag der Hoffnung): small but powerful moments that reawaken courage and confidence.
At various day centres, homeless people not only receive a hot meal, but also find a moment of comfort. At the centre for women, we create a protected space where women can relax over a cup of tea, exchange ideas with our social workers and other women, and recharge their batteries.
Our lunch tables in neighbourhood meeting places invite people who are often alone to a free meal – but they provide much more: community, closeness and the opportunity to make new connections. Our advice centres and telephone counselling services are there for anyone who needs a sympathetic ear and a confidential setting to gain new courage.

We believe that it is important to support all who feel lonely and have lost hope this winter. This is why we are encouraging employees to donate to ‘Heartbeat of Hope’ (Herzschlag der Hoffnung) fundraising campaign of the Protestant Regional Association of Frankfurt/Offenbach" while take part in the Christmas Jumper Day. For the third consecutive year, TME employees are invited to celebrate Christmas by wearing their best Christmas Jumper on December the 11th.
Both we and the Protestant Regional Association of Frankfurt/Offenbach would be delighted to receive your support, because every contribution really helps!
Thank you very much for your donations! Have a great Holiday Season!
