Male Arimonds Spendenlauf für ME/CFS Betroffene

Am 06.10.2024 werde ich am Generali Marathon in Köln teilnehmen – ein Ziel, das mir vor einiger Zeit noch unerreichbar schien. Nach meiner eigenen ME/CFS-Erkrankung möchte ich herausfinden, wozu mein Körper wieder fähig ist. Doch dieser Lauf ist mehr als nur ein persönliches Vorhaben: Gemeinsam mit der Deutschen Gesellschaft für ME/CFS e.V. möchte ich Spenden sammeln – für all jene, die weiterhin tagtäglich mit dieser Krankheit kämpfen müssen.

Mir ist es wichtig, Menschen mit ME/CFS zu zeigen, dass es Hoffnung gibt – dass es möglich ist, kleine Schritte zurück ins Leben zu machen, auch wenn es manchmal unerreichbar scheint. Ich weiß aus eigener Erfahrung, wie überwältigend und einschränkend ME/CFS sein kann, und genau deshalb möchte ich mit diesem Lauf ein Zeichen setzen.

Jede Spende hilft, Betroffenen Mut zu machen und ihnen die Unterstützung zukommen zu lassen, die sie so dringend brauchen.

On October 6, 2024, I will be participating in the Generali Marathon in Cologne – a goal that seemed unreachable to me not too long ago. After my own battle with ME/CFS, I want to see what my body is capable of once again. But this run is more than just a personal challenge: Together with the German Society for ME/CFS, I want to raise donations – for all those who continue to struggle with this illness every day.

It’s important to me to show people with ME/CFS that there is hope – that it's possible to take small steps back to life, even when it feels impossible. Having experienced how overwhelming and debilitating ME/CFS can be, I want to use this run to send a message of hope.
