Save a life: sponsor vaccines for dogs in need in Colombia!

Our animal shelter in Campoalegre, Colombia, has been caring for injured, traumatised and abandoned animals since 2009. The aim of this project is to reduce the number of street animals through neutering campaigns in the neighbourhood.

Cantoalavida e.V. is registered in Germany and is a non-profit international organisation that supports the animal shelter in Colombia by collecting donations, social media communication and the coordination of volunteers. The shelter currently provides around 73 adult dogs, 7 puppies and 11 cats with food, medical care and love. They are also neutered or sterilised here. The animals are treated lovingly so that they can regain their trust in humans. As soon as an animal has recovered and been vaccinated, the search for a suitable home begins, which is very difficult in a country like Colombia. To bring them abroad is not an option due to the high costs involved.

In addition to caring for and rehoming the animals, we are actively committed to finding sustainable solutions. This is why we regularly organise castration campaigns and awareness-raising measures for the local population in order to reduce the suffering of street animals in the long term.

Right now we urgently need money to apply the expired vaccines. We do not have the financial means to buy vaccines for all of them. Thank you for your contribution!
