Josie runs the Berlin Marathon, supporting AJ

Hi, my name is Josie Rogers and I hope to be completing the Berlin Marathon on September 29th, 2024!

I am a regular volunteer with Alabaster Jar, a project of Samaritan's Purse e.V., who are doing incredible work to care for women in Berlin's red light district and empower them to leave the sex industry. Despite all my complaints at the long training runs that I will no doubt be making over the coming months, my insight from Alabaster Jar means that I know just how privileged I am to have the health, free time and opportunity to prepare myself to run this race. The women whom Alabaster Jar connect with are some of the most resilient people I have ever met, and it will be through thinking of them, and your donations to help support them, that I will be able to take on every step of the 42km (26 miles) on September 29th. 

Every donation will go to helping some of the most vulnerable women in Berlin to be cared for and encouraged by Alabaster Jar, and will be sure to put a smile back on my face even at the sweatiest, hardest parts of the training and on race day!
