Table Slams for a Meal 2.0

This is a formal invitation to our CHARITY STREAM on the 4th November (next Saturday) for the people that have not been able to attend streams lately  Last year we collected together as a community >1800€ within less than 12 hours, even though it was a 24h stream!!!  We will be donating to the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk e.V. again, which is a German organization that is supporting children living in poverty. 

Especially with the exciting Christmas time coming up we sometimes forget that there are many who are not as lucky as us, not even able to enjoy a Christmas dinner. This happens closer to home than you might think - in affluent countries such as Germany, many children spend their Christmas malnourished and in an unsafe place, because their parents struggle to provide for them, despite their best efforts.

Simple government help exists, for example a child receives roughly 3.59€ a day for food (that's approx. 1€ per meal!) . But, even with this funding, it does not mean things will work out right, its just money, with no education or guidance.

Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk e.V. is an organization that bridges this gap. They provide a safe space for children to eat and spend their time doing homework but go the extra step by providing education. This education enables children to become more independent, teaching them core life skills such as cooking, with a focus on healthy eating.

I know that with Christmas time coming up some of our bank accounts are very limited, but I do believe that if all of us could give a little, we could raise a decent amount to donate as a community together and make a difference this year again!

For this cause I will make this a tradition and do our SECOND ANNUAL CHARITY STREAM together. You don’t necessarily have to donate, but just by participating through being active in chat, just a lurk or sharing to your friends and families could give the fundraising stream more attention to people that may want to donate something. In addition to that it would be easier for me and the community to keep this stream entertaining for you if we get a little company.
