Provide education to the Peruvian rainforest

Let’s achieve something great together! Help me and PATRIZIA Foundation to lay a foundation stone for children to break free from poverty, hunger and a lack of real prospects for improvement. Education allows children to determine what to do in life themselves, even in the most remote regions of the world.

Project 
The village of Sondoveni is home to roughly 60 families. Tucked away in the middle of the Peruvian rainforest, it takes about ten hours to drive to Lima, the capital. The last two hours of the journey take you along dirt roads through the jungle. There is a dearth of schools in the rainforest – a problem that also impacts other areas: more than 1.6 million Peruvian children under the age of 14 go to work, only go to school sporadically, or do not attend school at all. 

The project began in 2013 with a few classrooms and has grown into a full-fledged school over the years that offers everything a place for education needs.

From September 17 to 20 the #patriziachallenge will take place for the third time in a row. 70 PATRIZAns and supporters participating in this year’s "La Isla Challenge" 2023 will embark on a two-day hike on Mallorca, Spain, in benefit of PATRIZIA Foundation.

The school is attended by children and adolescents of the indigenous Amazonian people Ashaninka from Alto Sondoveni, as well as the surrounding communities of Alto Paureli and Villa Progreso, both about 3 km away, and 28 de Julio and Mapati, both about 4 km away.
