What’s it about
"I hope someday (...) the world will live as one"🕊
- John Lennon, Imagine -
The war in Ukraine has been going on for 9 months and most people probably feel as helpless with the situation as I do. It is difficult to realise how close all these terrible things are happening - there are only 1202 km between Berlin and Kiev. In the last 9 months, I have thought a lot about what I can do as a single person - I don't have much money and unfortunately I don't speak Ukrainian either. But there is one language that all people of this world understand to the same extent and that has the potential to create unity - the language of music. Not only John Lennon, but many other artists express in their music what cannot be put into words. This is why I created the PlayForPeace fundraising campaign - on the Instagram channel @playforpeace_, artists have the opportunity to carry a message into the world together with a musical video and thus make their own small contribution to something big. These contributions delight not only other musicians, but everyone! The aim is to cover the distance between Berlin and Kiev with donations - the goal: to collect 1202€ for UNICEF to help children in Ukraine!
🇺🇦Would you like to support this project? Every donation counts!
