What’s it about
Dear friends!
As some of you might now I was born in Ukraine and a big part of my family is still there today. I would like to use my birthday as an occasion to raise awareness and money for people in Ukraine that suffer due to the ongoing war.
Today thousands of people live in constant lack of electricity and heat and especially in the next months of winter this situation has an extremely dangerous potential that could cause the death of thousands of people. In Cherson for instance (the city that has been captured by the russian forces and has now been freed) there is no electricity since several days and people are using generators to make electricity in order that hospitals and emergency shelters can be powered.
The money that is being raised will go to the NGO Space-Eye which will use this money to buy and deliver electricity generators to hospitals, schools and emergency shelter. In the following months electricity generators will be extremely important and critical and that is why I kindly ask for your support! My goal is to raise 500 € – I start with with the first 50 €.
The picture has been taken in Kyiv. It is a painting on a old and ugly wall. For me it symbolises a part of the Ukrainian Mentality: If something is not the way you like it, do something about it and make the best out of it! Keep going – keep fighting!
