What’s it about

The PATRIZIA Hiking Challenge for a good cause enters its third round: Under the name "La Isla Challenge"

Taking on a 50km hike up the mountains of Mallorca over two days. Our mission is to raise €130,000 to support the extension of the PATRIZIA School Sondoveni in the Peruvian rainforest.

By supporting this challenge, we can make a lasting impact on the education and future of children in and around the indigenous village of Sondoveni. Our goal is to provide them with a good education, a community centre, and a place of refuge. Funds raised from the challenge will go towards the construction work, which was completed in spring 2023. I want to emphasize that 100% of the proceeds from this challenge will directly support our project in Peru.

Sondoveni is a small indigenous village in the Peruvian rainforest, home to 60 families. Shockingly, approximately 1.6 million children and young adults in Peru do not attend school regularly. Since its establishment in 2013/2014, the PATRIZIA School Sondoveni has evolved into a comprehensive educational institution, providing five classrooms, a community area, a clean drinking water system, and accommodations for teachers.

You can find out more about the PATRIZIA School Sondoveni in Peru on the Foundation's website and here you can find more information about the Hiking Challenge 2023.

We are thankful for your contribution, every donation counts.
