What’s it about

Today, we ask you to team up. During the past two weeks, we have all followed the war scene in the Ukraine. We all have the dire impulse to do something against it. We explored many options, enabled some pro bono support for charities. Yet, the thing that is most needed is financial (meaning flexible) support for key relief organizations.

Please, donate and Stand4Ukraine!

We ask you all to make a donation to help those in need. We have identified four international organizations we want to support:

- International Red Cross (to enable emergency support programs)
- UNO Refugee Program (to support refugee care)
- UNICEF (for a children support scheme)
- UN Women (to support women that are affected by the war. Disclaimer: UN Women is currently not on betterplace; we will make the donation directly)

BearingPoint will match the donations made here until the 20th of March.
Beyond that, we will explore further options to support as a firm and allow you to show you care.

Dear Colleagues,

you have probably read the news on our intranet already: We are, for now, closing our #Stand4Ukraine donation campaign for the benefit of the victims of the Ukraine War.

To summarize: We are simply overwhelmed by your generous support thrroughout the past weeks. Together, you raised more than 40,000 Euros (and we know, that many donated and still donate via other channels / to other organizations).

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for doing so.

Our firmwide leadership took your spirit on - and decided to do more than originally promised. They do not only match (double) your collective donation amount, but have rounded it up to 100,000 Euros.

[Please do not be confused with the donation amount here on bettetrplace: We will donate 25.000 to four organizations that we mentioned in our communications. Yet, one of these organizations (UN Women) will receive a direct donation from our end, since theey are not present on betterplace. Thus, we allocate 75,000 Euros via betterplace to the three organizations listet here: Red Cross, the UNHCR and UNICEF.]
