You broke the build!

What’s it about
Agnes wants you to donate 1€ for a good cause every time you break the build. And tell your fellow programmer colleagues to do the same. This will insure code quality and a clean build in the long run.
Agnes and her furious anger for build breakers have been found at http://www.youbrokethebuild.com made by Jay Grieves. If you like it, give it a go and read his blog.
Donating at betterplace.org is safe and easy.
betterplace.org forwards 100% of all donations. You can even track the use of funds. Not only is betterplace.org a great way to raise support, but it provides transparency as well, showing how your donation directly effects the project outcome.

Breaking the build must hurt!

C. Bünte posted this update on July 19, 2010.
As a freelancing software developer I worked in many teams. Every team had a different penalty to punish the developer, who broke the build. There have been commit rankings or blame boards. You know, these little inter-developer competitions. And usually there was a little money bank to put in an euro.
Back in the days I took the money from the money bank, put the same amount of my private money on top and donated it to a local charity organization. Nowadays, there is a better way to donate money: betterplace.org
Please do me a favor and tell everybody who's using a continuous integration system, that this is the place to send people who break the build!
Thanks,
Christoph
